Adam signs new Stoke deal

The Scotland international, who joined the club from Liverpool in 2012, has revealed that he has extended his stay at the Britannia Stadium with his previous deal expiring in 2016
Charlie Adam has signed a new contract at Stoke City, the midfielder has confirmed.

Scotland international Adam made 29 league appearances for the club in 2014-15 as Mark Hughes' side recorded a ninth-placed finish.

And he has now revealed that he has extended his stay at the Britannia Stadium, with his previous deal having been set to expire in 2016.

"Delighted to have signed a new contract with Stoke City," he wrote on Twitter.

Stoke later confirmed the news with a tweet of their own, revealing that the deal will run until 2017, with an option to extend it for a further year.
Adam, who scored seven goals last season, including one from inside his own half against Chelsea, joined the club from Liverpool in 2012.
