Watford sign Etienne Capoue from Tottenham for club record fee

Watford have announced the signing of midfielder Étienne Capoue from Tottenham for a club-record fee of around £6.3m (€9m).
The 26-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the Hertfordshire club, and is set to join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training.
Capoue made 24 league appearances for Spurs after arriving in 2013 from the French club Toulouse. He is the latest bit of summer business conducted by Watford after they completed a permanent move for Matej Vydra from Udinese on a five-year contract and also tied the top scorer Troy Deeney to a new five-year contract.
Watford appointed Quique Sánchez Flores last month to replace the manager Slavisa Jokanovic, who guided the team to second place and automatic promotion to the Premier League but then failed to agree a new contract.
