AC Milan secure signing of Luiz Adriano

The striker has agreed a contract until 2020 with the Serie A side for an €8 million transfer fee
AC Milan have announced they have secured the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano.
Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani had met with the Brazilian's agent in Milan to thrash out an agreement on Thursday, with the 28-year-old's contract set to expire at the end of the year.
And Milan have since confirmed that Luiz Adriano has penned a deal until June 30 2020 after accepting the terms on offer from the San Siro side.
Luiz Adriano joins Carlos Bacca in moving to Milan, with the Colombia international's transfer from Sevilla having been confirmed earlier on Thursday.
Milan released a statement to confirm that Luiz Adriano, who scored nine goals in the Champions League last season, will link up with the squad in the coming days.
Shakhtar, who will receive an €8 million transfer fee for the deal, wished the striker well ahead of his move.
"FC Shakhtar thanks Luiz for the years he has spent in the team, for the goals scored and records set," read a statement on the club's official website.
"We wish Luiz good luck in his new club and beautiful victories!"
