Xavi arrives in Qatar ahead of Thursday’s Al-Sadd presentation

Xavi Hernandez ended the Champions League and treble celebrations early as the now former Barcelona captain arrived in Qatar on Tuesday morning ahead of his official presentation with Al-Sadd on Thursday
Xavi received the most appropriate sending off a legend could ask for as he helped lead his side to the second treble in club history and following Sunday’s parade through the city and final celebration at the Camp Nou, Xavi packed his bags and caught a flight to Qatar, where Al-Sadd had already announced that the 35-year-old would be formally presented on Thursday.
Xavi has joined Al-Sadd on a two year deal, where he will take on a player-coach role and work on earning all of his necessary coaching badges required to come back to Spain as a manager as his former Spain teammate Raul Gonzalez did before him.
Xavi was mobbed at the airport as hundreds came out to welcome the legendary midfielder to their country in what promises to be two years of beautiful football ahead of them.
