Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos joins Bayer Leverkusen on loan



Bayer Leverkusen have signed Greek defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos from Bundesliga rivals Schalke on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old, who was once a target of Liverpool, has missed much of the past two seasons due to injury, but he now hopes to kick-start his career after at the BayArena.
"I'm really pleased this transfer's worked out," said Papadopoulos on his new club's website.
